The Staff at Left Hand Water District is proud of the high quality water that we provide daily to our customers. Our water treatment plant operations staff is educated, trained and motivated to operate the water treatment plants to optimize the plant performance for water quality. We’re proud to announce we’ve joined the Partnership for Safe Water, a national volunteer program for ensuring operational excellence in drinking water treatment.

Water Source

Left Hand Water District is supplied by surface water from Left Hand Creek delivered through our Joder, Spurgeon, and Left Hand Valley Reservoirs, along with surface water from the Colorado-Big Thompson Project delivered through the Boulder Feeder Canal from Carter Lake. The water is then treated at either the Spurgeon or the Dodd Water Treatment Plant and delivered to our customers through our transmission, storage and distribution system.
