Welcome to Left Hand Water District
Left Hand Water District provides treated water to about 6,500 homes and businesses in Boulder and Weld counties. If you are a new or prospective customer in an existing home or business with service from Left Hand, please click here. The District is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors elected by residents and property owners within the District boundaries. Board meetings are held on the Thursday following the second Tuesday of each month. For a copy of the latest approved meeting minutes click here.


Water Conservation Plan Adopted
Left Hand Water District adopted the 2008 Water Conservation Plan on August 14, 2008. The goal of this plan is for our District to develop strategies and programs for efficient and sustainable water use. A complete printed draft copy is available at LHWD’s office located at 6800 Nimbus Road, Longmont.

No Water Restrictions At This Time – The Board of Directors regularly reviews the water supply and may impose restrictions as outlined in the Drought Contingency Plan Look for ways to save water and reduce your water bill in our Water Conservation section.


Strategic Plan Update
Left Hand Water District has completed the process of updating its Strategic Plan. Water resources, meeting new health and safety requirements, upgrading treatment facilities and replacing aging infrastructure, and financing plans are all included in the process. A completed plan available for public review is available on the Strategic Plan 2008 page.
